Tracklist:

2. Leaders of Agony (5:44)
3. Wrapped in Disfigurement (7:07)
The 3 track EP by Egyptian death metallers Scarab (formerly known as HateSuffocation) is one of the best and also my favorite death metal release coming from the Egyptian Scene. the EP shows off the bands technical side which is one of the main factors in this EP, because the band's musical direction is seemingly going into a more technical sound for their future releases. The riffs on the album are mostly technical death metal riffs, with lyrics mainly about spirituality, theories and philosophy in how we perceive the world around us, Which helps them create their own sound with riffs that will fit perfectly with their lyrical theme.
Sammy Sayed's vocals are straight up brutal !, he has some of the best vocal abilities in the Middle Eastern scene and it really shows on songs like "Leaders Of Agony" where his switching between high pitched growls and low pitched grunts is executed perfectly, while Hatem pounds the drums destructively to Marzeban and Tarek's heavy death metal influenced riffage.
This is a perfect release for anyone that is waiting impatiently for the band's upcoming full length album "Blinding The Masses" which from the pre-production clip on the band's MySpace seems brutal as fuck.
I give "Valley Of The Sandwalkers" a 5/7
